If you loved “Dog” the movie, you’ll love our Hounds For Heroes program where there are no fees for approved Veterans and First Responders.
The movie “Dog,” is like the Hollow Creek Farm Equine & Canine Rescue Hounds For Heroes program: uniting incredible people with incredible dogs.
In “Dog,” Channing Tatum is Briggs, a Veteran with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD. His co-star is a Veteran Belgian Malinois dog named Lulu who also has PTSD and a TBI.
Briggs and Lulu demonstrate that their service as Army Rangers, despite all personal challenges, is their duty. Their mission: honor a fallen hero by getting Lulu to the funeral of her handler Riley who died while serving.
Briggs and Lulu are like the Veterans we know. They’re courageous and loyal individuals who proudly served our country around the world.
We hope that people see this movie because it shows how much people and dogs need each other.
Dogs support people by remaining at their side through struggles, successes and when they fall. People are there for dogs, no matter what, keeping them safe and healthy for life.
We welcome all Veterans and First Responders to apply to our Hounds For Heroes program. We waive adoption fees for Veterans, First Responders, and their families who have been approved to adopt through our application process.
All of our dogs are amazing. Click Here for our dogs available for Adoption. They’re affectionate, loyal, and loving companions looking for forever homes. Our dogs are:
They’re fully vetted, spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and on flea/worm prevention. Most are house trained (or have been taught the beginning), crate trained, and very basic obedience when they leave Hollow Creek Farm.
We rescued our dogs from abuse, neglect, or exploitation often with dire medical needs because of the cruelty of humans. So we make certain that all adopters are committed to caring for the dogs for the rest of their lives.
Our policy is that if you adopt a dog and get deployed, or if you move and can’t bring your dog, you must bring the dog back to Hollow Creek Farm. This is for the good of the dog who has already experienced trauma and upheaval in its life.
In some cases we can hold your dog until you return, or, the dog may be adopted out to another family. But when you adopt, you agree that in any situation you cannot keep the dog, that it will only be brought back to Hollow Creek Farm.
We do this because many of these dogs have already had very tough lives. We want to work with you to ensure that wherever the dog goes next, they’ll be loved and cared for just as you would.
If you’re a Veteran or a First Responder and you’d like to add a forever partner to your life, adopt a dog from Hollow Creek Farm Equine & Canine Rescue. It’s our pleasure to introduce you to our current adoptees.
