Waylin came to HCF on January o6, 2010. He is a 24 (+/-) year old TWH that was not receiving the care he needed. Waylin is not an unusual case for HCF to handle, but he is so sweet and loving we thought he deserved to have his story told.
Thanks to many generous friends of the farm, Waylin is receiving the help he desparatley needs. This is not a simple case, rehabilitating a senior horse in this condition takes lots of time, effort, care, and money. Please stop by each week and watch his progress. We are happy to help animals like Waylin, our homes, barns, and pastures are filled with animals that need your help….. and ours.
More will come next week.
Thank you for caring about the animals!
HCF’s all volunteer staff
HCF and Waylin would like to thank the generous donors that have helped so far:
Waylin Week One -
Continue antibiotics, starting refeeding program, ordered new blanket and hood to keep the cold off of him. Lots of feeding, 6 times per day. Vet evaluation rated him a 2 on the Henneke scale.
